Buckeye Special

Charlestown, Indiana (October 22, 2018) – After a brief period as a member of the Ag Protect 1 Silver Series group of outstanding classes, the Mini Rod class made the leap to the Champions Tour for 2018 with 15 sessions of competition across the season. Putting the final winning touch on the championship in Wheatland, Missouri at the Pro Pulling Nationals was Ohio’s Richard Peters and his outstanding Buckeye Special machine.

Peters was a strong competitor out the gate at the Bluff City Nationals with a third and first place finish on the weekend; six more wins on the season and only two finishes just outside the top five in the class allowed Peters to build a comfortable advantage over the one-two punch of Bruce and Tyler Slagh and their No Mercy-themed machines going into Wheatland. A longtime veteran of the class, Peters now adds to his great history the distinction of being the inaugural winner of the Mini Rod division points title on the Champions Tour. Congratulations Richard on your outstanding season
