Midwest Region ChampionshipsMeadows, Brown, Schwenk, and Mumma Clinch Midwest Region Championships

Charlestown, Indiana (December 18, 2018) – The Midwest Region Champions of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League recognized today had a limited shots at the track so top finishes required outstanding efforts every time out the gate to make their championship dreams come true.

In the Light Pro Stock division Matthew Meadows and the Relentless CaseIH claimed the class title. With four hooks in the class for the year, a rainout at Wilmington, Ohio and a cancellation due to weather at Meadow's home event in Tollesboro, Kentucky made top finishes all-the-more crucial. Meadows earned the win at the opening event for the class at the Ohio State Benefit Pull and kept the second place entry of Kyle and Matt Holland with their Black Tornado Deere at bay in the final hook in Lanesville, Indiana, taking a fourth place finish while Kyle Holland took the win.

The Pro Stock Tractor class had two hooks in 2018, one in Greensburg, Indiana and as part of the PPL Southern Nationals in Springfield, Tennessee. Class winner Sam Brown piloted his family's Green with Envy Deere to a third in Greensburg and clinched the title with a win in Springfield, narrowly beating out Allen LeGrand and the Edge of Sundown Deere for the championship.

Another class with a short-but-sweet two-hook season was the Super Modified Two Wheel Drive class. John Mumma and his RhinoAg After Midnight Chevy was consistently at the top of the class, pulling to a fourth place finish in Tampico, Indiana and a third in Nashville, Illinois. Mumma held off several of his stable mate pullers from Midnight Motorsports, where five of the top six trucks in the class are part of that pulling family.

Andy Schwenk and his Running Buck Wild Deere, like Mumma, used consistent top-five finishes in the five sessions of Super Farm Tractor to take the 2018 title. Only four points behind Andy was Josh Miley and his High Maintenan$e CaseIH who rattled off two big wins in one of the most competitive classes in the sport.

Congratulations to Matthew, Sam, John, and Andy for your points championships!
