Pulling World Mourns Loss of John Mumma

CHARLESTOWN, Indiana (February 14th, 2019) - John Mumma, two-time Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Truck Champion for the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, passed away on February 13th, 2019 in tragic car accident on his way to the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

To describe John simply as a champion puller does not fully demonstrate his impact on the sport of truck and tractor pulling.  He was a leader, serving as Vice President of the ITPA; an ambassador and advocate of the sport, visiting with pulling fans before events and welcoming them into the pulling family;  just as importantly he was a mentor and advisor to many who sought his extensive experience and wisdom about the sport.

John in his passing leaves behind his beloved wife Brenda; daughters Kristin, Misty, and Robin; the "Midnight Motorsports" team family, and family of pullers and competitors who share in the loss of John.

We here at the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will sorely miss John and his impact upon us; our thoughts and prayers are with all whose lives he touched.

Arrangements for John are unknown at this time; preferred expressions of sympathy will be shared as soon as possible.
