Brownstown, Indiana (July 28, 2015) – The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour closes out its final week of July with the Elkhart and Effingham County Fair Pulls before kicking off August with the Rocky Top Diesel Shootout in Crossville, Tennessee on August 1st.

Goshen, IN

The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour along with the TS Performance Silver Series are set to put on an exciting show at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 30. As one of the largest county fairs in the nation, the one-day event will feature some of the best classes of pulling that the PPL has to offer, including the Optima Batteries Super Modified 2WD Trucks, E3 Sparkplugs Super Modified Tractors, iON Camera Unlimited Light Weight Super Stock Tractors, Protect the Harvest Pro Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, ARP Light Weight Super Stock Tractors, MAC Trailer Hot Rod Semi’s and Mini Rod Tractors.

The competition on Thursday will feature two sessions of pulling with the first one starting at noon and the latter one scheduled to take place following an intermission between sessions. Prior to the PPL’s event at 8 am, the fairgrounds will be hosting a Farmstock Tractor Pull. Admission to the fair is $8 per person with children under the age of nine receiving free entry. Every grandstand event held during the fair week is free with the purchase of admission, including the PPL-sanctioned event on Thursday.

With more than 265,000 visitors last year, the Elkhart County 4-H Fair is one of the largest county fairs in the nation. The nine-day event is unmatched in the region, as its large attractions bring in people from all over the region. The Fair Board’s goal is not only to be a big event, but to be one of the best. The Elkhart County 4-H Fair takes pride in preserving quality family entertainment, free grandstand shows, positive competitions and terrific “Fair Food.”

Altamont, ILM

The PPL wastes little time to get back in the saddle, as it heads west from Goshen to Altamont, Illinois to headline the opening night of the 71st annual Effingham County Fair on Friday, July 31. The one-track bill will showcase pullers from the Optima Batters Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Protect the Harvest Pro Stock Tractors and ARP Light Weight Super Stock Tractors tussling for the top spot on the Effingham County clay.

The competition is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm, with grandstand tickets priced at $12 and pit passes available for $20. Advance tickets as well as information about the fair itself are available online at EffinghamCountyFair.com. The fairgrounds are located just off of Exit 82 on I-70 in Altamont.

Crossville, TN

On Saturday, the PPL finishes its week in Crossville, Tennessee, as the Champions Tour, TS Performance Silver Series and Ag Protect 1 Mid West Region are set to highlight Tennessee’s largest diesel event, the Rocky Top Diesel Shootout. The 2015 edition of this competition is expected to be a thriller with the ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Airdog 3.0 Diesel Trucks and 2.6 Diesel Trucks slated to battle it out at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds.

The gates will open at 5 pm for the one-track competition with the first flag scheduled to drop at 7 pm. Tickets for the event are available online for $20. Along with the pull on Saturday, the diesel extravaganza will feature a show n’ shine, tuner dyno as well as six different classes of drag racing.
