The TS Performance Diesel Pull is back once again with even more excitement this year as the inaugural event of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League’s Midwest Region Circuit.  Six classes will be blowin’ smoke at Jim Roberts Park just a short drive off Interstate 65 in Franklin, Kentucky.

The showcase of the night will be the massive display of trucks of all makes and colors.  Although the title suggests that this might be a diesel only pull, they did allow in a group of alcohol powered Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks but only since pull chairman Brad Moss has a vested interest in the class.  Moss, who is the hired gun for the Long Brothers Pulling team, has spent countless hours preparing the track for this event even missing out on his driving duties during a Champions Tour event last weekend at the Pumpkin Center Super Pull.  These trucks make a ton of horsepower and noise and are sure to not disappoint the diesel fans.

And speaking of that big beautiful black diesel smoke, it will fill the air courtesy of our friends at Air Dog as they sponsor both the 2.6 and 3.0 Diesel truck classes.  Air Dog is the leader in after market fuel preparators. Expect to see class sizes in the double digits with all manufacturers represented even though most pullers will run a Cummins engine.  Haisley Machine’s “Off Constantly” driven by Curt Haisley will definitely be there to defend his title in the Air Dog 3.0 class and expect to see Evan Smoot in action in the Air Dog 2.6 class with his classy “Smoot Farms” machine.  And of course, the night would not be complete without a nice set of Super Stock Trucks with representation from both Haisley Machine (Rock Hard Ram) and Scheid Diesel (Scheid Diesel) on hand.  But fans should keep a close eye on the truck called “Smoknya” driven by Erik Stacey who is always a contender.

While most diesel fans automatically think of those aforementioned bad boys with big pipes, two diesel tractor classes will have stellar representation as well.  You won’t want to miss the battle of green and red in the Super Farm Tractor Class as Justin Wagler looks to defend his regional title with a tuned up “Real Deere”.  Another contender aboard a John Deere will be Blane Fraker in the tractor he calls “The Agitator.”  International fans won’t be disappointed though as Josh Miley will be back with his freshened “High Maintenan$e” and Clay Darnell will once again take the seat of Maximum Overdrive.  While the Super Farms will whet the appetite of tractor fans, they also have the heavy duty, high horsepower 10,000 pound Pro Stock Tractors to look forward to.  “Hardcore Harvester” driver Ed Orrell will be defending his title with perennial favorites such as the Stone Family with “Rollin Stone,” the newly skinned “TS Performance Young Buck” making appearances.

While the stars of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League might not come out until 6:30PM, there is an abundance of action on the grounds during the day that fans won’t want to miss.  Gates open at 8:00AM, which gives fans plenty of time to check out the amazing Vendor Alley or put their diesel machine on the dyno to see just how much horsepower they can produce.  Or they can enter their pride and joy in the Show “N” Shine contest and take home bragging rights.  The Fuel Girls will also be on hand and a new beauty will be crowned in the 2012 Miss TS Outlaw Bikini contest that will begin at 3:00PM.
