The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League will conclude the month of July on the Champion’s Tour, with its yearly sweep from the northeast to the southwest corner of the state of Indiana. The grueling heat and challenging travel make this trip one of the more demanding weeks on the Champion's Tour.

The exciting competition will begin Thursday with the Elkhart County Fair in Goshen, Indiana. This annual stop on the Champion’s Tour has become recognized by fans nationally for an action packed schedule, which calls for an entire day of pulling in front of the Grandstand. The Pro Pulling League session will kickoff at noon and pull through the evening with all eight of the nation’s premier league classes taking their shot to win at America’s second largest county fair.

On Friday, The Optima Battery Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks, E-3 Sparkplug Super Modified Tractors, Premier Crop Insurance Pro Stock Tractors, MAC Trailer Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, and Super Farm Tractors will compete in front of a capacity crowd in Evansville, Indiana. The Vanderburgh County Fair has become a competitor favorite on the schedule, with the standing room only crowd packing the hill side and pit side with chairs.

Often viewed as a turning point to the annual competitive season, Goshen and Evansville always seem to have a role in the final outcome of the points, and last year was no different with four of our eight Champions Tour Title winners grabbing class victories at Goshen. The Speedco Midnight Gambler of Jeremy Nelson went on to claim the win in Evansville last year, the only competitor to complete the Indiana sweep.

It is an exciting time of year with the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour, as the points races continue to tighten on our drive to Wheatland, Missouri for the season’s conclusion in September. Midseason points leaders are: Speedco Truck Lube and Tire Four Wheel Drive Trucks- Terry Hagedorn (Untamed Spirit), MAC Trailer Unlimited Super Stocks- Neil and Bud Gettinger (Lessons Learned), Optima Battery Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks- Jeremy Nelson (Speedco Midnight Gambler), Air Dog Hot Rod Semis- Dana Lindsey (Red Hot and Rollin), Super Farm Tractors- Clay Darnell (Maximum Overdrive), Light Super Stock Tractors- Mike Wilhite (Blue Blazes), E-3 Sparkplug Super Modified Tractors- Bill Leischner (Speedco Dirtslinger), and Premier Crop Insurance Pro Stock Tractors- Steve Boyd (Lucas Oil Green Streak).

The stage is set for a very exciting weekend across the Hoosier Crossroads and we hope you will be with Champions Tour. To learn more about the Elkhart County and Vanderburgh County Fairs please click on our schedule for a link to their respective websites.
