Pulling World Mourns Loss of Jay Haning

Charlestown, Indiana (November 17, 2017) – With great sadness the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League family joins the rest of the pulling world in mourning the loss of Pro Stock Tractor competitor Jay Haning. Haning, along with Paul and Bill Friedrich competed with the Buck with No Doe John Deere on the Champions Tour at select events in addition to their competition in state and regional organizations.

Jay lost a courageous long-term battle with cancer on November 16th, 2017, creating a void in the hearts and minds of many in the pulling community in addition to his own family. Champion Seed Western Series Competition director Klint Tucker offered "Jay was one of the best guys in the sport. He was a competitor that was excited to go pulling every time he came to the track…He was just a gem of a guy and he will be dearly missed."

Our thoughts prayers and condolences go to all of Jay's family and friends at this difficult time. At press time arrangements for Jay's funeral and visitation are unavailable.
