Brownstown, Indiana (March 25, 2013) - The 2013 indoor pulling season drew to a close in Lincoln, Nebraska with the Second Annual Cornhusker Classic.  Two full days of pulling were held in the massive Lancaster Event Center with antique tractor pulling before each of the evening sessions.  The evening sessions were sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League member-state Nebraska Bush Pullers with three exciting classes in each session.  The house was packed in both sessions with appreciative fans who witnessed some of the best pullers in the nation in action!

Lincoln

Brownstown, Indiana - The winter indoor pulling season draws to an exciting close at the 2013 Cornhusker Classic, held at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 22nd-23rd, 2013.  Originally an antique tractor pulling event, event promoters Husker Pull Promotions added the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League member-state Nebraska Bush Pullers classes with resounding success in 2012.  This years' edition has expanded, as the action begins with antique classes on Friday morning at 9am as a prelude to the Nebraska Bush Pullers action starting at 7pm.  The Friday evening session features a huge class of Super Farm tractors, exciting Light Super Stock tractors and ground-pounding Modified tractors. Saturday morning the antique action begins again at 9am and the Nebraska Bush Pullers session kicks off at 7pm showcasing the popular Limited Pro Stock Tractors, dirt-slinging 2.6 Diesel Trucks, and the high-winding 6500 Unlimited SS tractors. Wilhite Blazes

Throughout his pulling career, Mike Wilhite has been known as a threat to win championships and fight for the victory at every pull he arrives at with his New Holland Light Super Stock tractor, but unfortunately something has always prevented him from claiming the title.   In 2012, Mike Wilhite got rid of the Bridesmaid term, when he claimed his first ever championship by out lasting his competitors on the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League's Champions Tour.

At the end of the 2010 pulling season, on the heels of winning their third consecutive Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour title, the Boyds of Washington, Indiana decided to slow down in the sport. Two of the three Premier Crop Insurance Pro Stock Tractors that they campaigned were sold to a fellow competitor, and the family began to focus on their continually growing business. The 2011 season saw Steve Boyd bring his Lucas Oil sponsored Green Streak out just a few times, as he remained true to his word of slowing down. As the winter of 2011 and 2012 came around, Steve and his wife Karen began to discuss the idea of traveling more and actually ventured to Florida to meet with a realtor about a few listed properties. However, the glaring idea in their minds throughout the visit was that it simply wasn't them.

February 19th, 2013 – Brownstown, Indiana:  This past weekend in the confines of Louisville, Kentucky's Freedom Hall truck and tractor pulling champions were crowned at the 44th Annual National Farm Machinery Show Championship Tractor Pull.  Pullers from across the U.S. and Canada vied for pulling's most coveted prize, a win in the Championship Finals on Saturday evening, February 16th.  In the Modified Tractor competition, Glasgow, Kentucky's Ricky Long guided his Lucas Oil/MAVTV-sponsored entry into the winners circle for his first-ever Modified win.
