Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals Preview – Session Two

Charlestown, IN (September 24th, 2021) – Seven classes will hit the track in the second session of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals, tomorrow, September 25th at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. While some of the 2021 class champions have largely been decided, other classes contain intrigue and suspense.

Four classes have points leaders in a position to “hook and win” their respective championships: Josh Miley and his High Maintenan$e CaseIH in AirDog Super Farm Tractor, Josh Blackbourn and the Armed and Dangerous – HD CaseIH in Unlimited Super Stock Tractor, The Class Act Peterbilt team of Wood and McConahay in MAC Trailer Hot Rod Semi, and Brandon Simon and his Loud and Heavy John Deere in Pro Stock Tractor. Even with those battles won, other pullers in each division will make their best shot possible to claim a podium finish in the final standings.

Line-X Pro Modified Four Wheel Drive Trucks offers Graham Young at the top of the class with the Renegade Dodge going into Wheatland. Hot on his heels however are a trio of pullers who have a statistical shot at claim the points title: Jim Bosch in the Midnight Raider Chevrolet, Charlie Hinds in the Runnin Wild Ford and Steve Clem in the Ratical Chevrolet. In a class where the final standings are often calculated by mere inches, this will be a fun battle to watch.

Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks is a two-truck race for the finish line where Russ Nichols and his On the Edge Ford-bodied machine holds a twelve point lead on the second place 2-Timin Ford of Chad Mayhill out of the Petro Motorsports camp. Nichols’ path to his current position has been built on the strength of five wins on the season while Mayhill demonstrated consistency on his title run; it will take a podium finish by one competitor and a mis-step by another to declare this class champion, in a field full of machines capable of winning anytime, anywhere.

The season finale for the Big River Steel Super Modified Tractors will be an absolute barn-burner. Two teams stand above the rest with seven points separating the first and fourth-place machines. Austin and Greg Boyd have wheeled the Green Streak machines into the top two spots with Keith Long (Lucas Oil) and Ricky Long (MAVTV) in third and fourth respectively. Both teams will pull out all the stops in Wheatland to demonstrate why they have been at the top of the game in 2021.
