Charlestown, IN (April 22nd, 2021) – Today we shift our attention to the remaining elite competitors vying for a Champions Tour title across five outstanding classes. Like many of you they’re ready for the 2021 pulling season and a chance to be back on the track!
Multi-time class champion Jeff Hirt and the Runnin’ Bare CaseIH return in 2021 to defend their 2020 title in the Unlimited Super Stock Tractor class against nineteen other entries. The 2020 second-place contestant Bob Gansemer and the Ruttin’ Deere return as well, this time with a second Ruttin’ Deere in the stable with teammate Brandon Block. Speaking of team efforts, Josh and Terry Blackbourn who finished 3-4-5 in the points standings in 2021 look to get back to the top of the class with their Team Chizek trio of CaseIH machines. The GALOT Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina will be the scene of the debut of this high-winding, massive horsepower class on May 21st and 22nd for the GALOT Mule City 300.
In the AirDog Super Farm Tractor division it has been a battle of “Wisconsin vs. The World” for years. In 2020 Wisconsin had a rare shutout with the title finding its’ home in Francisco, Indiana with Josh Miley and the High Maintenan$e CaseIH. Josh will be defending his title against seventeen other pullers, among them the second-place contestant and fellow Hoosier Jeremy Roberts aboard the Wicked Whitetail Deere and third place standout, Michigan’s Shane Masten on the Thumpin Pumpkin AGCO-Allis. The AirDog Super Farms start their season in Fairfield, Illinois for the Southeast Illinois Summer Heat event on July 10th.
MAC Trailer Hot Rod Semis return in 2021 with five sessions of competition. Class champion Mitch Cloudt and the Rubber Duck Mack defend their title with former champ Ryan DeBroux and the Playin’ with Fire KW hot on the trail for another championship. Third place finisher Jon Rees and his old school Diamond in the Rough Diamond-T also make a bid for the championship. The first event for this outstanding class is in conjunction with PPL member-state OSTPA in Millersburg, Ohio on July 8th.
Sixteen outstanding pullers are set to compete in the roaring Big River Steel Super Modified Tractor class in 2021 with defending champion Ricky Long on the MAVTV machine leading the charge. Ricky’s brother Keith is back in 2021 as well looking to improve on his second-place position in points with his own four-engine monster carrying Lucas Oil colors. Grayson Shelton seeks to stir the class up with his Ruckus machine after a third-place finish in 2020 that included a win at the 300 Raceway Farley Nationals. The Big River Steel Super Mods open their season in Benson, North Carolina at GALOT Motorsports Park for the GALOT Mule City 300 on May 21st and 22nd.
The Pro Stock Tractor class rounds out our announcements on the Champions Tour. Twenty-six machines have answered the call to pre-commit in 2021 with the class legend Don Masterson’s Tinker Toy Deere campaigned this year by Darryl and David Folz in defense of the 2020 title. The duo of Peter Norton and Brad Moss return with the Money on Black Deere to improve on their second-place finish from 2020 while third-place finisher Kevin Masterson has Patrick Gentry assisting on the River Rat Deere in 2021. The 300 Raceway Farley Nationals in Farley, Iowa play host to the first event for Pro Stocks on June 11th and 12th.
