Charlestown, IN (June 22nd, 2021) – It is a fitting description to call the Champions Tour events of the weekend of June 18th and 19th as “celebrations of communities and pulling” as Mackville, Wisconsin hosted an enormous crowd that swelled the population of the hamlet immensely and Tampico, Indiana with the Grassy Fork VFD Truck and Tractor Pull saw their great crowds happy for a return to the legendary track in southern Indiana. Tampico’s event, much like Mackville was a multi-day event that hosted everything from antiques to garden tractors to farm stocks with a splash of Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League competition to highlight the weekend evening sessions. The Protect the Harvest-titled sled from Lowry sled rental was on the track to keep the competition in check.
The Friday June 18th session in Tampico saw three classes from the Champions Tour and the Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region entertain the throng of fans. Winners included Quinton Hartmann (in our feature photo) and the International Addiction 66-series IH in 9500 Limited Pro Stock; Kolten Bommer and the I Got This 1206 Farmall in Hot Farm, and Dennie Brown with the Green with Envy Deere in Pro Stock.
After a massive and successful effort by the track crew at Tampico to restore the track from an overnight storm, the second session featured Hot Farms and Pro Stocks. The winner in Hot Farm was Kylie Werner on her Rage-N-Buck Deere and Pro Stock honors went to Brandon Simon wheeling the Loud and Heavy Deere.
Pro Stock competitors are currently preparing for their next Champions Tour event in Mound City, Missouri at the Rumble by the Refuge on June 25th and 26th. Hot Farms go to battle on July 9th at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Charlestown, Indiana for their next Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region event and 9500 Limited Pro Stock invades the Vanderburgh County Fairgrounds in Evansville, Indiana on July 30th for their next Ag Protect 1Midwest Region Contest.
