Succeed and Proceed: Multiple Competitors Cash in During Session Three of World Series of Pulling presented by Ohio CAT

Charlestown, IN (July 22, 2022) – Session three of the World Series of Pulling presented by Ohio CAT was a chance for some Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour classes to debut at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio—and for others to determine who would “succeed and proceed” and move on to the Saturday night finale for this stellar event.

Super Farm Tractors made their Summit Motorsports Park debut with eighteen tractors set to battle. Josh Miley, the two-time defending class champion, had the first hook and elected to drop and hook last. Miley’s gamble paid off as he came back on that final pass to edge recent winner Brian Barman and the Hooked Up IH by exactly one foot, 305.44 to 304.44. Third place went to former class champ Justin Johnson and the Screamin’ Norwegian CaseIH.

For the Pro Mod Four Wheel Drive Truck category, performing for the second time on the weekend, there was no doubt who was the first transfer to the Saturday night finale—Jim Bosch and the Midnight Raider Chevy who scored his second win of the event. Peyton Davis and his Punisher Chevy placed second to Bosch and John Davis in the Young Gun Chevy in the third spot in the second session. In addition to Bosch, Gary Varner (Fast Break Ford), Larry Jarrell (The Punisher Chevy), Terry Hagedorn (Kickin’ Up Dust Chevy), and Steve Clem (Ratical Chevy) transferred to the Saturday finals.

The final class of session three was the Unlimited Super Stock division. After making his first competitive outdoor pass of 2022 in session one and taking fourth, Colin Ross and the Triple Bypass McCormick scored the win for “Team Diesel” in the continuing “Duel of the Fuels.” Terry Blackbourn and his Extremely Armed and Dangerous CaseIH was the top alcohol-fueled tractor in second and Bob Gansemer’s Ruttin’ Deere in third. Ross and Blackbourn would transfer into the Saturday night finale, with John Strickland (GALOT 2 AGCO), Brent Payne (GALOT 1 AGCO), and Josh Blackbourn (Considered Armed and Dangerous-HD) also making the transfer.
