Nichols. Mikloiche, claim wins, Belt Buckles in Session Two at Hillsboro; Blackbourn, Hastings Impressive in Weekend Debut

Charlestown, IN (August 13th, 2022) – The 2022 edition of the Hillsboro Charity Pull in Hillsboro, Wisconsin continued today at 1pm CDT with the second session after a rain delay that required further track prep by Hillsboro’s elite crew of track workers. This second session offered four exceptional classes, two debuting for the weekend and two classes declaring session winners and overall champions that would be awarded a coveted Hillsboro Belt Buckle.

ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks started the day on the west track squaring off with the RhinoAg X-Factor sled. A trio of the class elite found their way to the top as Cody Hastings and the Against the Grain Dodge captured first on a blistering pass along the left chalk line, with Van Haisley and the Rock Hard Ram in second and points leader Erik Stacey and the SmokinYa HD Chevy in third. Hasting’s win tightened up the points race between him and Stacey with six hooks left for the year.

The east track started the day as the battleground for the ARP Lightweight Super Stock Tractor division. Terry Blackbourn and the Considered Armed and Dangerous CaseIH covered all the bases in this initial session of LWSS action in Hillsboro, whose run out to 326.94 eclipsed the 320.67 effort of Colton Whitworth and the NK Bin Buster Deere. Josh Blackbourn and the Deadly Force CaseIH would hold on to the third spot. The third Chizek/Blackbourn tractor, the Excessive Force CaseIH campaigned by Terry continues to hold the points lead on the strength of a fourth place run.

Following the ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks was a horde of Light Pro Stock Tractors looking to clinch the session win and a chance to claim the Hillsboro Belt Buckle. The Battle for the Belt Buckle was quickly decided by the 311.02 pass of Jeff Mikloiche and the Demented CaseIH, backing up his win in session one and securing the belt buckle for the team from Pennsylvania. Second in the session went to Luke Ross and the Livin On A Prayer Deere 7310r at 307.27 and third to the About Time 1066 IH of Steph Faymoville.

Finishing the session was the Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks on the east track. Russ Nichols and the On the Edge Ford-bodied machine was able to clinch the overall title and belt buckle with the session two win built on the strength of his second place finish in session one. RJ Simon and the Loud and Low out of the Simon Sez Motorsports stable claimed second for the session while Jason Sullivan made an excellent pass to notch third place in the Corn Burner Dodge entry. With only two hook opportunities left in the season leaving the Hillsboro, the points battle is tense between Jeremy Nelson and the Gambler Dodge, Michael White and the Addiction Chevy, and the Simon Sez Chevy of RJ Simon.

Action in Hillsboro closes out tonight with the third and final session at 7pm CDT. Catch the action in-person, online at the live results page www.propullingliveresults.com and via livestream at www.floracing.com
