Packed House of Pulling Fans Witness Six America's Pull Champions Crowned in Henry, Illinois

Sellersburg, IN (July 17, 2023) – Completing the trifecta of Champions Tour events in Illinois for this past weekend was the much-heralded America's Pull at the Marshall Putnam Fairgrounds in Henry, Illinois. Six stellar classes were in attendance to entertain the massive crowds that Henry draws and this edition did not disappoint.

Following the always-reverent opening ceremonies at Henry, the Kawasaki Parts Warehouse Limited Pro Stock Tractors running for Hart's Diesel Silver Series debuted on the grandstand track. Adrian Cox entered the event as the points leader on the "Hickory Hooker" Farmall. The class winner on the evening was Tom Gallitz aboard the Runnin' in the Red 66-series IH with Mark Wells and his "For a Few Dollars More" Deere in the second spot. Third went to Brett Hackstadt on the "618 Motorsports" CaseIH entry, who closed the gap on Cox to within four points leaving Henry.

ARP Lightweight Super Stocks began the evening on the pit-side track and Bobby Jones comfortably in the points lead coming into Henry. In their third session of pulling in as many days, the LWSS contingent saw eight machines answer the call to the tough Illinois clay. Bryan Haug and the Big Temptation Case made a monster pass 368.39 for the win, with Jones in second at 350.77. Todd Maedge and the Monkey Mayhem Uncaged CaseIH with a run of 345.45.

Following the Limited Pro Stocks on the grandstand track were eight tough ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks. Past class champ Kent Crowder and the "Scheid Diesel" Dodge entered Henry with the points lead with reigning class champs Erik and Lily Stacey and their "Smokinya HD" Chevrolet in second. Justin Gearhart and the "Cream of the Crop" Dodge put together a stellar run of 330.07 for the win, while Chase Eller, riding the wave of a win at the previous event at the Fisher Communtity Fair in the "Caretaker" Dodge finished second in Henry. Brady Ingram, driving the "American Pride" Dodge of Keith Witt, finished third.

Mini Rod Tractors presented by SCS Gearbox/Probell Racing were in their second night of competition for the weekend, running on the pit-side track. Jeff Hirt and the "Lil Bare" machine carried the points lead into Henry with fourteen other entries joining him to square off with the Mini "X-Factor" sled. Renee Theobald, wheeling the "Pretty Wicked" machine, notched her first Champions Tour win in the Mini Rod division at Henry with a pass of 346.41. Tour regular Tyler Slagh and the "Have No Mercy" machine landed in the second spot at 337.32 while Theobald's son Grant piloted the "Lil Wicked" entry into third at 327.43.

The final class for the night on the grandstand track was the Pro Stock Tractor division presented by Lemke Motorsports. Kevin Masterson and the "River Rat" Deere continued to hold on to the points lead coming into Henry and solidified his claim to the top spot with the event win with a massive run to 381.23. Sweeping the top two spots for the team from Grandview, Indiana was Darryl Folz on the "Tinker Toy" Deere at 374.85 and third to Rob Russell on the "Work Horse Pro" CaseIH at 372.19.

Super Modified Tractors presented by Mitas wrapped up the evening on the pit-side track. In their first hook of the 2023 season, eight monstrous machines were challenged by the Coal Train Energy X-Factor sled from the Bungart stable. The Dirtslinger team swept the top two spots for this session, with Shannon Leischner driving the "Dirtslinger X" to the win on a massive run past 386 feet and Bill Leischner in second on the "Dirtslinger" after setting the class standard at 379.28 on the first hook. Tom Owens and the "Ramblin Rose" pulled to 334.97, good for third on the evening.

The season continues for these Champions Tour and Hart's Diesel Silver Series classes beginning the week of July 24th, with stops in Freeport, Illinois (July 25th and 26th) Goshen, Indiana (July 26th and 27th), Evansville, Indiana (July 28th), and Altamont, Illinois (July 29th).
