Masterson Farms - Mission Accomplished for Pro Stock Tractor Championship Presented by Lemke Motorsports
Sellersburg, IN (November 6th, 2023) – As in years past, the Masterson Farms team brought a 1-2 punch to the 2023 Pro Pulling League Pro Stock Tractor battle with the "River Rat" and "Tinker Toy" John Deere machines - with a Pro Stock title presented by Lemke Motorsports the ultimate goal. This season brought more intent than ever, seeking to honor the memory of Don Masterson, patriarch of the family and team who passed away in May before the beginning of the season.
While the "River Rat" would lay claim to the 2023 championship, the "Tinker Toy" would take second in the points race. Team leader Kevin Masterson would be a primary driver on the machines but those duties were shared with Darryl Folz, Patrick Gentry, and Joey Harris. Both machines were in the hunt for the season, with the "River Rat" having more consistent finishes initially but the "Tinker Toy" surging in performance in the second half of the season, highlighted by Masterson and Folz picking up the Hillsboro Charity Pull overall win, claiming the Hillsboro Pro Stock Buckle, awarded in memory of Don Masterson. Eight first-place points finishes were nabbed between the two machines on the season, a tremendous feat. Rhett Parish and the "El Niño" CaseIH claimed third-place accolades for 2023 with a highly consistent Champions Tour resume' that included one win.
