Late Season Surge Propels Robbins Duo to Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region Hot Farm Championship
Sellersburg, IN (November 16th, 2023) – Today we celebrate teams who collected points titles on the Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region of the Pro Pulling League. They will be honored this Saturday, November 18th at the Pro Pulling League Champions Banquet in Louisville, Kentucky at the Hyatt Regency.
The 2023 championship in the Hot Farm Tractor class was won by a duo who have inherited driving duties from their dad and took full advantage of that opportunity. John and Calvin Robbins and the "Fire in the Hole" IH were competitive all season but a late surge at the Lanesville Heritage Days Festival put them over the top for the championship.
Entering the Lanesville, Indiana event that had two sessions of action, there was a five-point separation between the top three pullers in the class, with defending champions Michael and Austin Peters and the "Hoosier Hooker" IH followed closely by Jordan Harris and the "Magnumfied" CaseIH in second and "Fire in the Hole" in third. The first session saw Calvin wheel the "Fire in the Hole" to the win and the second session featured John at the wheel and locking the title up with another win for the team from Greensburg, Indiana. Harris would hold tight for second place in points while the "Hoosier Hooker" team finished third. The "Fire in the Hole" IH machine is no stranger to the top spot in Hot Farm, as John and Calvin's dad Mike has piloted the machine to the championship as well.
