Champion Seed Western Series Points Champions Spotlighted in Anticipation of Awards Ceremony this Weekend - Part Three
Sellersburg, IN (Drcember 9th, 2023) – Our celebration of Champion Seed Western Series Points Champions wraps up today, featuring Sancrest Specialized Transport 85 Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Sancrest Trailer Sales 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Northwoods Heads Light Pro Stock Tractors, and No Way Man Diesel Limited Pro Stock Diesel Trucks. Those champions, along with the champions in the other eight classes in the Champion Seed Western Series, will be celebrated tonight, December 9th at the 2023 Awards Ceremony at the Isle Capri Casino Hotel in Boonville, Missouri.
Josh Hannah and the "Cawood's Comet" IH of Bolckow, Missouri claimed the 2023 championship in Sancrest Specialized Transport 85 Limited Pro Stock Tractor division by way of four wins and five second-place finishes. He was followed by "The High Price Hooker" CaseIH of David Dougherty from Paris, Missouri who claimed three wins on the season. Third went to the "Live Action" IH of Falls City, Nebraska's John Waggoner who scored ten top-five finishes in the 2023 campaign.
The Sancrest Trailer Sales 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractor class featured an inoressive title run by Rod and Gage Schottel from Savannah, Missouri on the "Ole Black Magic" Case with five wins. Adrian Cox and the "Hickory Hooker" IH from Trenton, Missouri had a stellar season in second place with six wins and the third place "Special Edition" Deere of Steve Bousema from Worthington, Minnesota picked up a pair of wins in the 2023 battle.
The Northwoods Heads Light Pro Stock Tractor class saw Kahoka, Missouri's Luke Ross guide the "Livin' on a Prayer" Deere to their first points championship on the Champion Seed Western Series. The "Just Another Buck" team with Jerald, Justin, and Trent Grimes from Osborn, Missouri sharing driving duties had an impressive run in 2023 for second place accolades, notching five wins. Breaking the "all-green" theme of the top three was Promise City, Iowa's Justin Hopkins, who piloted his "Just Getting Started" IH into the third place position.
Five wins and three second-place finishes were the key to Jason Wayman's title run in the No Way Man Diesel Limited Pro Stock Diesel Truck class, driving the "Megatron" Dodge from Novinger, Missouri. The "Trailer Trendz" Dodge driven by Dalen Bell from Tuscumbia, Missouri claimed second place honors in a season highlighted by one win and two second place finishes. Craig Elfresh and the "8 Envy" Chevrolet from Rushville, Missouri placed third in the 2023 campaign with a host of top-five finishes.
