America's Pull - Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Horsepower
Sellersburg, IN (July 17th, 2024) – People within the world of pulling are by and large a patriotic segment of the population. That's an easy observation with the respect and reverence promoters give audience to in their opening ceremonies, honoring our nation and those who serve it, and the fans who respond in kind with hands on hearts and eyes upon the flag. Among the brightest shining examples of that is the aptly-named "America's Pull" at the Marshall-Putnam County Fairgrounds in Henry, Illinois.
This weekend, on Saturday, July 20th, fans and pullers will gather at that fair in pursuit of horsepower, but eye first cast upon the Life and Liberty provided by our men and women in the Armed Forces and the First Responders who protect close to home during the opening ceremonies. A packed house, standing silent, in full attention to the message of Freedom and due respect to those who give us opportunity to work, play, - and pull trucks and tractors - in a secure nation.
The pursuit of horsepower will be fulfilled Saturday evening starting at 5:30pm CT by six divisions of Pro Pulling League competition; Super Modified Tractors presented by Mitas, Pro Stock Tractors presented by Lemke Motorsports, ARP Lightweight Super Stock Tractors, ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Mini Rod Tractors presented by SCS Gearbox/Probell Racing and Kawasaki Parts Warehouse 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractors set to tackle the tough track in Henry.
