The Elkhart County 4-H Fair: Two Days in a Pulling Paradise
Sellersburg, IN (July 23rd, 2024) – In the world of truck and tractor pulling, there is a select group of events that stand out. The Elkhart County 4-H Fair in Goshen, Indiana on Wednesday, July 24th and Thursday, July 25th is definitely in that conversation and can be considered a "pulling paradise."
With that sort of heady proclamation, a quick examination of the event backs that statement up; the combination of local, state, and national classes intertwined over two days offers something for even the most discriminating pulling fan.
The event kicks off Wednesday at 6 pm with the superstars of the Pro Pulling League. Representing the Champions Tour in that session are the Super Modified Tractors presented by Mitas, MAC Trailer Hot Rod Semis, Unlimited Super Stock Tractors presented by Powersport Parts Warehouse and ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks. The Advanced Yield Light Pro Stock Tractors will also be in action seeking Hart's Diesel Silver Series points. The IPL group will also offer action in this session to whet pulling fan appetites.
Thursday's pulling competition starts with a host of farm tractor classes at 9 am. The fans fill the stands for that portion of the show in anticipation of the second session of PPL competition that kicks off at 11 am. Unlimited Super Stock Tractors presented by Powersport Parts Warehouse, Super Farm Tractors presented by ApexTurbo, MAC Trailer Hot Rod Semis, and Mini Rod Tractors presented by SCS Gearbox/Probell Racing hit the track for this midday session.
Capping off the day of pulling is Champions Tour action set for a 6 pm start time. Pro Stock Tractors presented by Lemke Motorsports, Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks presented by Optima Batteries, ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks, and Super Modified Tractors presented by Mitas fill the dance card for the great pulling fans at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
